MOT Day

A one day reset for leaders who are still performing, but paying for it.

You do not need more grit. You need capacity.

You need a plan you can hold when the calendar fills up again.

An MOT Day is a focused, practical day away from the noise. We look at what is draining you, what is keeping you going, and what has to change so you can lead without running yourself into the ground.

This is coaching, not therapy. No gimmicks. No magic hacks. Just clear thinking, honest decisions, and a structure you can run.

WHAT IS AN MOT DAY?

Think of it like a proper inspection. Not a pep talk.

We take a close look at your current operating system. Workload. Recovery. Boundaries. Relationships. The parts you avoid, because you are “fine”.

Then we set it up so you stay fine.

Who this is for

This day is for you if you are:

Running hard and still getting results, but your energy is trending down.
Snapping more at home, or going numb at work.
Sleeping, but not recovering.
Carrying too much in your head and too little in your calendar.
Doing “all the right things” and still feeling behind.

You might be a founder, partner, director, or senior leader.
You might be the one everyone leans on.

Who this is not for

If you are in crisis, this is not the right first step.

If you are dealing with severe depression, active addiction, or you are medically unwell, you need proper clinical support first. If there is any doubt, start with your GP. Rule out underlying medical causes. Then we can talk.

I am a coach. I am not a clinician.

What we cover

We work through two foundations and five pillars.

Foundations
Your why. What matters now, not three years ago.
Your identity. Who you are outside the role.

Pillars
Move. How your body is coping with the pace.
Rest. Recovery that works in real life.
Consume. What you are feeding your system, including information.
Boundaries. What you allow, what you stop, what you protect.
Relationships. The people who charge you, and the ones who drain you.

This is not a cookie cutter checklist. It is built around your situation, your constraints, and what you can actually sustain.

How the day runs

You get space, structure, and straight talk.

Before the day, you complete a short self assessment. That gives us a clean starting point.

On the day we:

  • Get clear on what is driving the pressure.
  • Name the drains that are costing you most.
  • Decide what changes, and what stays.
  • Build a simple weekly plan you can keep, even on a heavy week.
  • Lock in one boundary and one workload lever, so this does not slide back.

You leave with decisions, not notes.

What you leave with

A one page plan you can follow.
Your personal “operating rules” for the next 30 days.
A clear boundary to hold.
A workload lever to pull, so you stop carrying everything.
A short set of practices that fit your life, not an idealised version of it.

What happens next

Most people do not need ongoing hand holding. They need a clean reset, then accountability.

You also get a short follow up check in to keep the plan honest and adjust it based on what happened in real life.

If you want deeper work after that, we can discuss it. If you do not, you still leave with something you can run.

Locations and timing

MOT Days run in calm locations outside London where you can think properly. Dates are limited and booked in advance.

If you are bringing leaders from a firm, we can run private MOT Days for small cohorts.

Apply for an MOT Day

If you want to talk it through, apply and I will come back with next steps.

You will be asked a few direct questions. That is deliberate.
It keeps this right for you, and it keeps the standard high.
